Software Tester and Support

Reports To: Software Development Manager

Position Type: Full Time

Position Summary

Software Tester/Support will be responsible for day-to-day software testing of various Windows and Web applications. In addition to testing, this position also requires to provide support our software products. 

Essential Job Functions

  • Perform Portable Intelligence software certification testing
  • Run test cases for large projects and change requests
  • Determine what modifications are needed after testing 
  • Document test results and Maintain test cases 
  • Create and run automated test scripts 
  • Maintain latest builds and SQL scripts for our products (RF Plus, TM Plus, and Mobile Plus) 
  • Receive and record software support requests 
  • Assign support tickets and ensure completion in a timely manner 
  • Create/Update user manuals, SOPs and other related documents 
  • Update customers with ticket status

College Diploma or University degree in Computer Science, Database Development, or Related Area 

Technological Requirements

  • Must have SQL Server  experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Powerpoint)
  • Oracle database experience preferred
  • Windows Server 2003/2008/2012 knowledge preferred
  • Familiar with automated testing tools (Visual Studio/Selenium)


  • 1-2 year work experience in testing is preferable
  • Automated testing experience is an asset
